As a WBENC-certified, woman-owned and operated, third-generation company founded in 1963, MoveCenter is proud to have been recognized as one of the largest woman-owned businesses headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, a region that includes the counties of San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Alameda, and Contra Costa, plus the city of Palo Alto.

The awards ceremony recognized outstanding California employers in the small, medium, and large business categories. MoveCenter was one of 100 honorees highlighted at the event.

“As one of the most highly regarded RMCs headquartered in North America, we are proud of the numerous awards we’ve received.  From being named Best RMC in the country, to being honored for our ethics from the Better Business Bureau with their Torch Award for Business Ethics, MoveCenter continues to set new standards of success,” said Heisha Freeman, Chief Customer Officer. “This award for being one of the largest woman-owned businesses headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area is another indicator or our ongoing success.”

California has the most women-owned businesses in the country, with about 1.5 million representing nearly 40% of businesses in the state. The “Largest Women-Owned Businesses” is the San Francisco Business Times’ ranking by revenue of the 100 largest majority women-owned businesses. Companies considered for the award are based in the publication’s coverage area (the counties of San Francisco, Marin, San Mateo, Alameda, and Contra Costa, plus the city of Palo Alto).  MoveCenter’s global headquarters is located in San Mateo, CA.
